Antonino Reyes. Clamor y Protesta. Pamphlet. October 25, 1854.

    Commentary:

The federalist agenda did not die with the fall of Rosas. One of his personal secretaries, Antonino Reyes, issued the pamphlet Clamor y Protesta in 1854. The pamphlet records abuses by the Federalists, including the imprisonment of individuals without charge and the promotion of lies regarding the Rosas government. Reyes calls Bartolomé Mitre, a Unitario and future Argentine president, a deserter, libelist, mercenary, and demagogue.
