Heraclio Fajardo. Camila O’Gorman: Drama histórico en seis cuadros y en verso. Buenos Aires: Imprenta Americana, 1856.

    Commentary:

The Uruguayan author, Heraclio Fajardo, first presented this drama in Montevideo, while it was prohibited in Buenos Aires. The play portrays the true story of Camila O'Gorman, who fell in love and ran away with a young Jesuit priest, Ladislao Gutiérrez, in 1847. They were found and executed by the Rosas government.
